In preparation for a BID presentation, we begin with a site(s) visit to assure our customers that have a thorough understanding of all the elements of the move. In our analysis we like to discover the number of tapes to move, any racking requirements and the speed of delivery required for the relocation. It is very important to know whether the library is in Vol-Ser order or will be compressed. We examine the library access, and review the auditing requirements. Every issue that affects the move needs our attention, in order to make the proposal as thorough and form-fit as possible.

We then make all the "climate controlled" transportation arrangements, whether it is surface (trucks) or aircraft. For those companies where an International relocation is required, we have a U.S. Customs Broker on staff.

Our on-site managers provide the security and staff required for handling every aspect of the move safely and efficiently. For security reasons, our on-site managers never leave the Tape Library during the move process. The packing of the tapes, the transportation and the re-slotting are monitored constantly. In our planning, we work with your library staff to meet their conversion schedule, with safety and dispatch. Our presence is meant to be the added guarantee of thoroughness you would expect.
